This online training program aims to provide commercial vehicle drivers and motor carriers with the knowledge needed to properly fill out a driver's daily log, to stay within the regulated hours of service, and to perform thorough pre-trip inspections.

This course, developed by Stantec's Learning Products and Solutions group, provides an opportunity to learn how to:

Properly fill out the Driver's Daily Log Book and Pre-Trip Inspection forms.
Explain the provincial Department of Transportation regulatory requirements in Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, New Brunswick and Newfoundland for log books, hours of service and pre-trip inspections.
List Department of Transportation industry accepted standards.
Describe how to improve safety on the job by reducing the number of accidents that may occur.
Reduce the risk to yourself and/or your motor carrier for receiving fines and penalties.
